. Wes Froese grew up, the son of a farmer, near Swift Current, Saskatchewan. He went the traditional route and took piano lessons and dreamed of one day being a lawyer. However he was reasonably good at the piano so he went on to study journalism at the U. of Regina. But his love for music wouldn't go away and he ended up studying theology at Central Pentecostal College in Saskatoon. 5 years later the U of S gave him a Bachelor of Music in piano and he's been writing and performing and teaching and arranging, etc, in Saskatoon ever since. Wes married Shelley in 1990 and they went on to have two kids, a daughter, Lauren, and a son, Taylor.
